It's Friday afternoon and you walk through the doors of your quiet suburban home after a long week of school. After a quick glance around the kitchen in the hopes of finding something that's completely cooked and ready to be downed in 5 bites you head upstairs and unload your gear, shower, and quietly boot your computer up as you curiously enjoy the silence surrounding your home as at the moment, you are the lone resident in this place... this place of refuge... this place of... you disregard those thoughts and you finally realize that you need a plan for the rest of the day. After a few quick calls, it seems your friends are busy, so you decide to stimulate your visual satisfaction for art. You click your Photoshop icon and eagerly await as your textures and brushes load... then it hits... hits you like a bus, how much you love this program, how many countless hours you've spent over the years working away either during the day which watching some TV, or at the dead of night when your family's asleep. Everything is green and ready to go as you open up your massive folder labeled "Photoshop Work" and then a lá kid in a candy store, you jolt folder to folder looking for something to work on or hoping in your mindless search you can be hit with an idea for a piece that will astound. You find a PSD file which includes the suffix of "Work In Progress". Those words call to you, seducing you to double-click and throw your inspiration onto the page. You work long into the night and feeling fulfilled you spend your weekend relaxing. Fast forward and its already next Friday as you walk through the door, but this time you don't have the urge to do something artistic, but rather head outside for a game of hockey with friends. Photoshop is an addicting drug. You can go days, weeks, and months without entering it's realm and at times you can't go a day without working on something...

This program is one of my favourite hobbies that I enjoy partaking in. I hope whoever read the entry agrees with me.
