[September 15, 2009] I had to redo this, I randomly looked at this at 2 am and realized my last edit is complete CRAP. Well hopefully I feel better about this. Enjoy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [July 14, 2009] I've been meaning since I put this piece up to rework it cause I wasn't happy with it. I was surprised at how much attention it received, so I thought it would only be fitting if it got a makeover. Enjoy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [May 9, 2008] Been a while since Ive gone all out on a piece that was very chaotic. So I give you Gambit, ushering in a new era of art for me. First piece to use Apophysis renders, which by count is about 4-5 blended together. The planet texture itself was a high quality image supplied by a friend here on devart (see credits). The concept itself spawned from my liking of doing high contrast pieces in a chaotic setting (if youve ever seen Basis that Ive uploaded long ago). The colour layout itself was a given as red and blue always work for space art. Please excuse the lack of stars, I wanted to keep the dark background a little uncluttered in order to give that view of the foreground which is the planet. I may in the time coming upload the renders involved, I have already put up one in my scraps for your downloading pleasure. So enjoy this piece, you watchers have earned it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Total Layers: N/A Total Time: 4-6 hours ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Credits: for a large planet texture and tips on editing. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well if you are going to get scientific and bring chemistry into play, an item being subjected to intense heat, will technically go towards the colour white. The reason: well chemically if an atom is subjected to intense heat, it's surround Ions will gain energy until the point they have enough energy to escape. Sorry for the very nerdy answer heh.
